Foodie Night For Fall - Cookie/Hors D'oeuvres Exchange

Calling all Food Enthusiasts!The RNNC Foodie Group is planning events throughout the year to tempt your tastebuds and enthrall your senses.
-      Intimate cooking demonstrations
-      Potluck Dinners
-      Tours of New York’s Tastiest Neighborhoods
-      Recipe Sharing and Tasting Evenings


Our First Event will be a Cookie/Hors D'oeuvres Exchange!  


Warm cookies straight from the oven or a savory treat with a glass of wine...sounds delicious right about now, doesn't it? Join the RNNC Foodie Group for a Cookie/and Hors d'oeuvres exchange - just in time to get you ready for the holidays! Keep your eyes open for the evite!
Wish you had several delicious, tried and true holiday hors d'oeuvres recipes you could whip out this holiday season? Want to add some new holiday cookies to your repertoire? Do you have a fantastic secret family recipe you are dying to share with your friends?
Or would you just like to spend a fun, festive evening with friends over savory appetizers and sweet delights and a glass of wine?
Not you CANNOT come empty handed. See below for our complete set of "rules". (Please don't worry - this is not "Chopped"!!)
Rules of the Cookie / Hors D’oeuvres Exchange

  1.     All cookies should be homemade. (For those of you beginning to panic right about now – please see Rule #7)
  2.     No plain chocolate chip cookies or cookie mixes. Bring out your inner Martha Stewart and show us what you’ve got! There is no judging here – just fun!
  3.     Please bring 6 dozen total cookies or enough of your hors d’oeuvres for 20 people and email your recipe by December 8th to Lesley Findlay  Copies of each recipe will be emailed to each guest.
  4.     The theme is festive, holiday fun! Festive attire is encouraged!
  5.     Be creative, have fun with this! Arrange your cookies or hors d’oeuvres on a large platter or basket. Containers will be provided to bring home your goodies.
  6.    RSVP as soon as possible and let us know what type of cookie and/or hors d’oeuvres you’ll be bringing – we don’t want duplicates!
  7.     If you don’t have time to bake, or have burnt your cookies, you may visit a local bakery to buy your 6 dozen yummy cookies.
  8.     If you are bringing an hors d’oeuvres, please plan accordingly regarding the use of a warming oven as we won’t have the ability to heat or warm each dish.
